南東側より見る噴気活動が活発な硫黄岳山頂火口内南側のピットクレーター（竪穴状火孔）。火孔底がわずかに見える。1997年から2003年にかけて形成、拡大した。右端に陥没を免れた道路の一部が残されている。2017年11月4日撮影。
