| A growing spatter cone with strombolian eruptions near the center of Nishinoshima, viewed from the SE. The spatter cone is ca. 140 or 150 meters high a.s.l. New lavas effuse from a hornito at the northern foot of the cone, and enter into the sea with white smokes at the SE coast. | |||
