北東上空より見た御嶽山山頂部。火山灰が厚く覆い、灰色となっている。前日の9月27日に水蒸気噴火が発生した地獄谷から一部火山灰混じりの噴煙が上がる。その右手前に最高峰（剣ヶ峰）を含む一ノ池火口、その手前が二ノ池火口。ニノ池の右側には南北方向に延びた複数の火口列がある。。読売新聞社ヘリより2014年9月28日7時48分撮影。
