| 南西、幌内川カルデラ北東縁より見る最高峰の勝澗山（標高427.7 m）。山頂から切り割りまでは流紋岩溶岩で、山腹は花崗閃緑岩などからなる。流紋岩溶岩は山頂直下の勝澗山火口を充てんする流紋岩火砕岩を貫いて噴出し、南西の幌内川カルデラに向かって流下しており、カルデラ湖を埋積した堆積物中に貫入している。2004年7月30日撮影。 |

| View of the highest peak "Katsuma-yama (427.7m a.s.l.)" from the SW (on the northeastern Horonai-gawa Caldera rim). The volcanic edifice consists of rhyolitic lava in the upper part and granodiorite in the middle part.
