Measurements
We measured physical properties of rock specimens, cylindrical or rectangle
ones, drilled out from block samples collected at outcrops. Rectangle and
cylindrical specimens were used for the measurements of ultrasonic velocity
(Vp) and other properties such as magnetic susceptibility, intensity of
NRM, Qn ratio, dry density, wet density and porosity, respectively. Powdered
specimens were also used to measure Curie temperature.
We used the same equipment to measure in our laboratory under the same
condition and have confirmed a repeatability of the measurements
