GSI Maps uses GSI Tiles delivered from Geospatial Information Authority of Japan (GSI). http://maps.gsi.go.jp/development/ichiran.html(in Japanese)
The bathymetric contours are derived from those contained within the GEBCO Digital Atlas, published by the BODC on behalf of IOC and IHO (2003) (http://www.gebco.net)

Shoreline data is derived from: United States. National Imagery and Mapping Agency. "Vector Map Level 0 (VMAP0)." Bethesda, MD: Denver, CO: The Agency; USGS Information Services, 1997.
Some of data on this database (site locations and numerical values of measurement data) were not specified in the original materials; consequently, our operators manually read values from figures.
In some sites and observatories, depths of SHmax remained unknown. In these circumstances, we made independent records on the database which contain only SHmax azimuths. The database also uses values which were converted into numerical values from orientations, such as "east-northeast" to "N22.5E". Please be aware of those matters.
